Shown here visiting a yogurt shop in the valley late last fall, Two & Half Men legend Charlie Sheen is demanding an apology from the Jewish self-interest group, Anti-Defamation League, over the whole "Chaim Levine" ordeal.
As you may recall, writer Chaim Levine -- who contributes to popular TV show Two & Half Men -- allegedly insinuated that Sheen was becoming "racist" in calling the writer by his true name instead of his Hollywood name, "Chuck Lorre." Even the Anti-Defamation League got into the act, apparently suggesting that Charlie's selection of names was somehow "anti-Semitic."
However, Charlie says calling the Jew by his name is as about as racist as someone calling Sheen "Carlos Estevez" ... and says that the writer used his real name just some weeks ago. Charlie claims Chaim even writes about his own "lifetime of distancing himself from Judaism."
So -- in the words of Broke Barack Obama ... CAN WE STOP PLAYING THE RACE CARD? Just askin' ...
