Out with a couple of really cute BGFs and his pooch at King's Road Cafe in West Hollywood, rocker Joe Jonas is asked -- once again -- if he's gay.

Joe seems to respond with "Not really," prompting the pap to question him once more at which point Jonas answers, "Sorry, buddy -- no."

The photographer replies that he himself is gay, and that the famous musician need not apologize. But Joe stands his ground, confessing nothing.

Hmmmmm.....
